Today we come back strong after a pass yesterday to regroup.  Our Friday night specialist lost for the second straight week and we had to spend all day tracking him down to make sure he was OK.  We found him, and he is ready to go again for next Friday.   He still owns a 7-3 record on Friday Nights in the Ivy League, he is just not accustomed to losing two weeks in a row.

So, back to today’s action.  Louisville heads to UCONN to battle the Huskies in a Big East Brawl.  Connecticut enters the contest as a four point favorite and the public is all over the Huskies.  Surprisingly, so are we.  We like the revenge factor in this game and UCONN seems to have righted the ship somewhat.  Lay the points with the hometown Huskies and don’t ever look back.

Free Pick Denver Nuggets vs LA Lakers: 2-28-10

On this last day of February the Nuggets travel to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers.  Kobe’s health has been a major concern of late and it is unclear if he will play tonight.  The Lakers nevertheless are a six point favorite tonight on their home court.  The general betting public, who is almost always on the side of the Lakers, has switched for this contest and approximately seventy-five percent of all the wagers placed through Las  Vegas have been on the side of the Nuggets.

We like the hometown favorite tonight as they will show that they are a very capable team with or without their superstar.  Go with the Lakers minus the points.

The Friday Night Freak is back and I am looking to make ammends for last Fridays miscue.  Even with last week loss we stand at a strong 7-2 for the year within the Ivy League on Friday nights.  This is our night, we live for this.  This is our livelihood so pay attention and pay attention good.

tonight Yale enters this contest as a 3 point favorite on the road and the general betting public is all over Yale.  We love the home underdog in this game and we are guaranteeing it.

Free Pick Cleveland Cavaliers vs Toronto Raptors: 2-26-10

Tonight the Cavs travel north of the border and head to Toronto to take on the Raptors.  Lebron and company are 5.5 point favorites and they look to score an easy road victory tonight at the expense of the Toronto Raptors.  the general betting public is all over the Cavaliers and the expect to cash in on them big tonight.

Not so fast.  Don’t jump in with the ignorant public.  The Cavs do at times lose games and don’t cover the spread night in and night out.  The smart play is the Raptors here and we expect to make some money tonight.

Free Pick Wisconsin vs Indiana 2-25-10

Tonight at 9:00 EST the Wisconsin Badgers head to Indiana to take on the Hoosiers.  This looks like an easy spot for the Badgers as they have had no problem handling the Hoosiers over the past two seasons.

The line opened up with the Badgers as a 9.5 point favorite and that line looks to climb up today as the general public will be betting it up. 

We like the hometown Hoosiers in this contest as they will put up a good fight tonight in this contest.

Free Pick Denver Nuggets vs Golden State Warriors: 2-25-10

Tonight the Nuggets head to Golden State to take on the lowly Warriors.  The Nuggets have opened up as a 6.5 point favorite and that line figures to continue to go up right until tip-off.  The general betting public is all over the Nuggets and are expecting an easy double-digit road victory.

However, the Warriors will be ready tonight and we expect them to not only cover the spread but win outright in this contest.  The lesser teams get up for these games at this point in the season especially in front of their own home crowd.  Expect the Warriors to cover the spread and even win outright here tonight.

Free Pick Pittsburgh vs Notre Dame: 2-24-10

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have left themselves some work to do down the stretch as they are in desperate need of some quality wins to perhaps earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament. One such opportunity comes tonight, as the Irish welcome the 12th-ranked Pittsburgh Panthers to South Bend for a Big East matchup at the Joyce Center.

The Panthers comes into this contest red-hot, having won five straight games, including an impressive 70-65 besting of Villanova this past weekend. With the victory, Pitt is now 10-4 in league play, still within striking distance of both Syracuse (13-2) and Villanova (11-3).

Free Pick New Orleans vs Milwaukee 2-24-10

A strong February has enabled the Milwaukee Bucks to creep back into the Eastern Conference playoff picture, while the New Orleans Hornets’ shaky play during the month has put their postseason hopes in jeopardy.

The Bucks will attempt to extend their current winning streak to four games when they host a Hornets squad that’s dominated this series as of late tonight at the Bradley Center.

Milwaukee improved to 7-3 in February with Monday’s 83-67 road triumph over the New York Knicks, the third straight opponent the Bucks have held to 88 points or less. The surge has moved the club into a tie with Charlotte for the eighth and final playoff seed in the East and just one-half game behind seventh-place Miami.

Tonight the eleventh ranked Georgetown Hoyas head to Louisville to take on the non-ranked Cardinals.  The Hoyas come into this contest as a two point road underdog.  Louisville has been playing inspired basketball and embrace this challenge to knock off a ranked team on their home floor.

The general public is all over the Hoyas here tonight and we haven’t spotted such an easy game in quite some time.  Expect a tough game here tonight, however, the Cardinals will come out on top and knock off yet another ranked opponent.

Free Pick Philadelphia 76ers vs Golden State Warriors: 2-23-10

Tonight at 10:30 EST the Philadelphia 76ers head to Golden State to take on the Warriors.  The Warriors enter the game as a 1.5 point favorite as neither team is a very well rounded squad this year.

We like the home team in this spot.  The 76ers always have trouble heading out to the west coast and the Warriors are much more successful at home.

Look for the Warriors to dominate this game in blowout fashion as the 76ers will most likely not even show up for this contest.  Expect an easy double digit victory tonight by the Golden State Warriors.
