  • The Hornets have lost four out of their last six games heading into this one. The struggling group is coming off back-to-back losses to the Wolves and the Lakers. New Orleans is fourth in points allowed this season.
  • Emeka Okafor will need to take advantage of the absence of Garnett for the Celtics. Okafor is averaging 10.4 points and 9.6 rebounds per game this season. David West tweaked his ankle in the team’s game last night against the Lakers, but expect the scoring forward to suit up for this one.

Game Forecast:

The Celtics remain as favorites heading into this matchup against the Hornets, they will need big plays coming from their role players. The Hornets are ranked 15th this season in rebounds per game, so they shouldn’t have a hard time with Boston’s depleted front court.

But Turner finally had his breakout performance in the Sixers’ win over Phoenix, shooting 9/12 for a career-high of 23 points. Expect Turner to log in heavy minutes as Andre Iguodala’s status remains in the air.

Philadelphia put a scare to the Lakers when they faced off less than two weeks ago. This time around, the Lakers will be at home and are looking to get back on track to how they’ve started their season. Philadelphia has been playing good basketball as of late, expect them to put a scare to the Lakers.

Game Forecast:
The Magic seem to have found a nice flow on offense behind their perimeter players. Orlando will have plenty of weapons to outmatch New York’s defense, which is allowing 106.5 points per game this season. But the Knicks should be able to avoid a blowout loss despite being away from home.
