Free Pick Milwaukee Bucks vs Boston Celtics 3-9-10

March 9, 2010

2-0 last night with two underdog outright winners and we have had a winning record in 8 of 9 weeks so far since the new year.  Jump on board with no fear.

Tonight the Bucks host the lethal Boston Celtics and the game has opened up as a pick’em.  The public is all over the Celtics and of course we love the Bucks.  This is a great spot for them tonight as they will pull out a hard fought victory aginast the Celtics.

Free Pick: Milwaukee Bucks Pick’ em

Free Pick Atlanta Hawks vs New York Knicks: 3-8-10

March 8, 2010

Tonight the Hawks enter the Garden as a seven point road favorite.  The Knicks have been playing an awful brand of basketball as of late and the mid-season acquisition of  T McGrady does not seem to have provided the spark that the Knicks had quite hoped for.   They also endured an embarrassing loss this past weekend to their cross town rival Nets.

All that being said The general public is all over the Hawks as they see them cruising to an easy road victory.  Well, I don’t  The Knicks will step up tonight and show some pride and cover the spread.  There is a high likelihood that the Knicks will win outright tonight as well.  If you have a set then take the money line tonight on the Knicks, otherwise pound them with the spread and grow some in the morning.

Free Pick:  Knicks +7

Free Pick Orlando Magic vs LA Lakers: 3-7-10

March 7, 2010

Kobe Bryant and the suddenly-slumping Los Angeles Lakers have dropped two straight games and hope to get back on track Sunday afternoon against Eastern Conference power Orlando at Amway Arena.

In a rematch of last year’s NBA Finals won by LA in five games, the Lakers handed the Magic a 98-92 setback on January 18 at Staples Center behind a career-high 22 points from Shannon Brown. Bryant was held to just 11 points in that one for the Lakers, who won their 15th NBA title in franchise history at Orlando’s expense last summer.

The Lakers have won 17 of the last 22 matchups with the Magic. Orlando is 11-31 all-time versus Los Angeles (7-14 home, 4-17 road) during the regular season.

We like the Magic in this contest as we look for the Lakers to drop their third straight.

Free Pick:  Magic -2

Free Pick LA Lakers vs Charlotte 3-5-10

March 5, 2010

The Bobcats, who are trying to secure the first postseason berth in franchise history, lost for the fifth time in six games on Monday in Boston after Paul Pierce connected on 9-of-13 shots and finished with 27 points, as the Celtics routed Charlotte, 104-80.

The Los Angeles Lakers resume a three-game road trip in Charlotte tonight hoping to get back on the winning track against a slumping Bobcats team.

The Lakers dropped the opener of their trek in South Beach last night when Udonis Haslem hit the go-ahead basket in overtime and Carlos Arroyo sealed the game at the foul line, as Miami upended LA, 114-111, in a back-and-forth game.

There were 19 ties and 31 lead changes in the contest, an NBA season-high for the latter.

Free Pick:  Charlotte +3.5

Free Pick Chicago vs Memphis 3-4-10

March 4, 2010

The early line in the game has the Chicago Bulls slated to be a seven point favorite at home tonight.  This line seems awfully high for two somewhat evenly matched teams.  The public is all over the underdog and they are taking the points in this contest.

We believe that the Bulls will come out and crush the line tonight in a dominating fashion.  Look for Chicago to please the hometown crowd tonight with a double digit victory and Memphis will get embarrassed here tonight.

Free Pick:  Chicago -7

Free Pick: Charlotte vs Boston: 3-3-10

March 3, 2010

Tonight Charlotte travels to Boston to take on the Celtics who are coming home after a road victory last night.  The hometown Boston Celtics are a six point favorite inthis contest as they look to regain momentum in the east with the return of Paul Pierce to the lineup.

Charlotte has struggled as of late and the look to gain a tough road victory here tonight.

We love Charlotte plus the points in tonight’s contest and you should to.  Take the six points and thank us in the morning.

Free Pick:  Charlotte +6

FREE PICK : Detroit plus the points

Free Pick Toronto Raptors vs Houston Rockets 3-1-10

March 1, 2010

Tonight the Toronto Raptors invade Houston to take on the Rockets.  Life for the Raptors has been tough without their star player as of late.

It’s expected that Toronto Raptors star Chris Bosh will opt out of his contract after this season and test the free agency market.  Life without Bosh isn’t a scenario most north of the border want to contemplate but they have gotten a taste of it over the last five games thanks to a sprained left ankle. Bosh, who leads the team in scoring (24.5 ppg) and rebounding (11.4 rpg), is listed as day-to-day and could miss another contest tonight when the reeling Raptors visit the Houston Rockets.

Toronto was able to take advantage of a pair of last-place teams, New Jersey and Washington, in its first two contests without its All-Star but has now dropped three in a row, the latest a 119-99 blowout at the hands of Oklahoma City last night. Kevin Durant scored 29 points to lead the Thunder in the rout at the Ford Center.

We like the hometown Rockets in this one.  Lay the 6 points and call it a day.

Free Pick:  Houston -6

Free Pick Denver Nuggets vs LA Lakers: 2-28-10

February 28, 2010

On this last day of February the Nuggets travel to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers.  Kobe’s health has been a major concern of late and it is unclear if he will play tonight.  The Lakers nevertheless are a six point favorite tonight on their home court.  The general betting public, who is almost always on the side of the Lakers, has switched for this contest and approximately seventy-five percent of all the wagers placed through Las  Vegas have been on the side of the Nuggets.

We like the hometown favorite tonight as they will show that they are a very capable team with or without their superstar.  Go with the Lakers minus the points.

Free Pick:  Lakers -6

Free Pick Cleveland Cavaliers vs Toronto Raptors: 2-26-10

February 26, 2010

Tonight the Cavs travel north of the border and head to Toronto to take on the Raptors.  Lebron and company are 5.5 point favorites and they look to score an easy road victory tonight at the expense of the Toronto Raptors.  the general betting public is all over the Cavaliers and the expect to cash in on them big tonight.

Not so fast.  Don’t jump in with the ignorant public.  The Cavs do at times lose games and don’t cover the spread night in and night out.  The smart play is the Raptors here and we expect to make some money tonight.

Free Pick:  Toronto Raptors + 5.5
