Through the always-emergent popularity of the spectator sport of golf, mainstream television decided they wanted to cash in on the golf craze and founded The Golf Channel. The times gone by of this cable phenomenon is genuinely a storied one.

In 1990, cable and cellular entrepreneur Joseph Gibbs of Birmingham, Alabama, offered to host a licensed golfer for the 1990 PGA Championship. Mr. Gibbs was ecstatic to cram he would be hosting Arnold and Winnie Palmer during the week of the tournament. A friendship was at this instant born and as the friendship blossomed so did the conversation of a 24-hour cable network devoted wholly to golf.

Behind conducting a Gallup deal with to choose unrestricted doings, Joe Gibbs was pleased to understand that there was a strong interest for a golf channel by means of the inclusive free. The successful entrepreneur and the golf legend were convince that The Golf Channel would flourish by means of offerings for the golf-loving viewer.

With 1995, the supplementary corporation had raised over $80 million to finance and launch The Golf Channel. It debuted among less than 1,000 cable subscribers. The Golf Channel’s head living televised tournament was the Dubai Desert Classic which debuted on January 19, 1995.

Since next, The Golf Channel has grown among leaps and bounds in popularity. Numerous cable and satellite dish systems instantly carry The Golf Channel as part of their usual lineup of channels. It is immediately broadcast in Japan and Canada and in 1999, reached a “break drawn” type on their financial statements.

These days, The Golf Channel is considered the rest to abscond for golf news and programming. They stick a daily golf news show called “Golf Central” along by “College Central” which is dedicated to college golf. They air highlight shows of outer surface tournaments and cling to diverse programs through professionals handing out golf tips to the eager viewer.

Not to be left behind by means of the reality TV phenomenon, The Golf Channel has joined in by means of their reality-based series called “The Large Visit”. This series was designed to benefit aspiring professionals lead exemptions addicted to PGA Tour and LPGA events. It has proven to be wildly successful.

In 2005, The Golf Channel helped setting up a explicit match take the part of come across called Great Stakes Golf, in which teams of two paid a $100,000 entry fee to engage in recreation in a explicit tournament where the winning team split a $3,000,000 original-place prize, the largest in golf times gone by. In the end, mini-tour professionals Garth Mulroy and David Ping won the grand spoils.

Two guys had a dream – one by means of business savvy, and one among golf savvy – and when The Golf Channel was born, that dream became a reality. Diverse households depend on The Golf Channel for their daily golf news – and this author’s household is no recent. We be fond of The Golf Channel – and you yearn for too!

Most golfers will say the hardest part of their game is focus. The mental side of golf is often misunderstood. Do you have a friend that breaks 80 on every round? Why is that? Practice, they practice. What they don’t tell you, is what they practice at. When you are talking about a game that is referred to as 90% mental and 10% talent you have to work on your mental toughness. When overcoming that mental side of golf, do you try to change your equipment, the time at which you play, maybe even they guys you play with. Here we go, some tips that are going to help get you on your way to being a better golfer.

The tempo of golf is often a concern for golfers. You are stuck behind a slow foursome, or maybe the guys behind you are rushing you, and you feel that pressure to golf faster. Well Tempo of the game should never affect the tempo of your swing. Swing tempo is important if you want consistent results in your game. How do I find my tempo you ask? A golfer can find their tempo by doing these simple things:

SLOW DOWN!! People often think that if they can swing faster and hit the ball harder they will get results, this is not the case at all. SLOW DOWN and focus on YOUR tempo not the tempo of the game. This is true is some instances, but, for the sake of this article we will not be discussing those concepts. No matter where you are playing or who you are playing with; the tempo you keep is is going to make you take the same back swing, have you contacting the ball the same, and allowing you to follow through the same every time. How are you going to practice this TEMPO? While at the driving range your focus should only be on one club at a time. First hit 20 range balls with your driver, next hit 20 range balls with your 9 iron, Next your 3 wood and your 8 iron follow this method until you have hit every club in your bag. To perfect your back swing come to the same position every time. When you hit the ball you should be contacting at the same speed every time. If You swing hard with woods you should swing hard with irons do not let the club size dictate you tempo. If you focus on your tempo you will see that by swinging all of your clubs the same your accuracy will improve drastically. Follow through is the same as your back swing you need to follow through the same on every shot. How you follow through directly affect your accuracy. When you focus on these three techniques you will find that your mental game will improve.

This is a three step process after you are done at the driving range it is time to head to the chipping green. Start by working with your wedges, then move on to you short irons. Practice 100 chips with each club. When you start in the deep stuff focus on yout tempo and making sure you land every ball on the green. If you are hitting the ball with the same tempo every time, your chipping will be more accurate. Remember chipping should be another tool in your arsenal and not the final result. Many careers have been made from singles and doubles hitters it is not just the home run hitters that decide how games turnout. If you can keep your mind focused on the task at hand you are going to chip and hit the green every time. The 8i and 9i will be used to work out the tempo of the bump and run technique. Tempo here is the key still but keep in mind that now you have too much club for such a short distance. Your tempo is what matters!! It would be like you are still hitting one of your wedges, you change clubs not the tempo!!

Putting Putting Putting! Why is this a hard thing to understand? We have now gone from Driving range tempo to chipping tempo to putting tempo the TEMPO does not change only the environment. What you want to practice here is the same thing! You want to work on your tempo. You are never going to change your swing for a putt. The only part about putting that changes is the distance. Start with 10 balls and putt then in from 1ft away from the hole. Move your self out 1ft for every 10 balls you sink in a row. Tempo is key when you are trying to stay focused.

The goal for these exercises is to teach your to go through the same steps every time. When you are working on you tempo you need to understand that you are separating your self from the game; you are working on you. Seeing results is going to depend on how much time you take to find your tempo!! The game is 90% mental; set a clock in your mind that only allows for the same tempo no matter when or where you are golfing. Create memory for your body and your mind will follow.

Some golf cart owners think, or assume, that the batteries that operate their golf carts are maintenance-free. A lack of knowledge about basic golf cart battery maintenance can lead to all kinds of problems. A solid golf cart battery maintenance program is the key to achieving optimum performance and long life.

We recommend that you obtain the following equipment for use in golf cart battery care and maintenance:

A wrench; distilled water; a voltmeter (an instrument used for measuring the voltage between two points in an electric circuit); a hydrometer (a tool used to measure the specific gravity of the electrolyte solution); a post cleaner; some baking soda; petroleum jelly and possibly the most of all – goggles and gloves.

You should always wear acid proof gloves, protective clothing and goggles when handling lead acid batteries and remove all jewellery. It’s important to have lots of water and baking soda nearby as this will neutralise any acid spills from battery refilling and prevent further corrosive damage. Remember, the electrolyte is a solution of acid and water, so skin contact should be avoided and, do not smoke near batteries and never add acid to a battery.

Remember, do not fill the water all the way up to the cap and do not allow the plates to be exposed to air. Do not use water with a high mineral content. You should use only distilled or deionised water.

Water should only be added after fully charging the battery. Prior to charging, there should be enough water to cover the plates. If the battery has been discharged (partially or fully), the water level should be above the plates.

You should check water levels in each cell of each battery weekly to ensure that the leaded plates in the battery are submerged in liquid. Don’t fill the cell all the way up — add just enough water to cover the plates.

The PurePoint Golf swing theory points you in the right direction and gives you a system of fundamentals to measure yourself against. In golf this is really important; however situations arise where you just can’t figure out why you are having certain difficulties. Whether your problem is hitting behind the ball or hitting the ball thin, sometimes we are clueless to where the problem lies.

We instruct/teach a fairly horizontal swing plane in comparison to most. Even though there are major benefits to this version of the golf swing certain complications can arise very rapidly. This golf tip in particular was designed to keep golfers from hitting behind the ball. My objective is to inform you of all areas of the golf swing, then when certain situations arise, you can adjust accordingly. And ultimately check points pre established.

The player(s) back shoulder in his/her backswing dips down; meaning that the back shoulder is dipping towards the ground. This is hard to do when you have no lateral movement or weight shift back and away from the target, as we teach. However, this is very common among players who have a horizontal swing plane. The tendency is to drop your back shoulder as your swing plane becomes more horizontal.

Please understand that if you dip your back shoulder in your backswing this could cause multiple different problems in you swing. Your timing, hand position at impact, weight shift through the ball, and the follow-through position could all be negatively affected.

Solution

Fortunately there is simple solution. Go to the range and take a golf ball. Put the golf ball underneath your back foot (please make sure that ½ the ball is in the ground so that you don’t fall over). If a ball is uncomfortable use a towel or something that is at least an inch off the ground. The ball/object should be placed under your back heel in order to ensure that you have no weight transfer and that your back shoulder does not dip in your backswing.

Then just take your normal swing. If you choose you can hit a ball or you can just take a couple practice swings. Focus on not dipping your shoulder in your backswing (keep your back shoulder up and not down). I guarantee that if you master this drill you will make solid contact with the ball on a more consistent basis.

This drill will force you to practice a swing with no weight shift back and away from your target and simultaneously help you with dipping your back shoulder.

Practice this drill and be aware that if you are having problems hitting behind the ball at any point in your round, the problem could lie in shoulder position in your backswing. To learn more go to PurePoint Golf Instruction
PurePoint also offers great golf training aids

The tee is where every golf hole starts. If you have trouble driving the ball, then you’re opening every single hole at a disadvantage. You might scramble your par with a great chip, but you might well be going for birdies if your drive had been a bit longer.

For nearly all players, consistency and long golf drives are far from being impossible. Being long off the tee is a lot easier than most people recognize.

Modern golf equipment means golf balls today get the best distance from launching on a high trajectory and having a shallower angle of descent. It isn’t about low carrying drives any longer. Long drives come from high penetrating trajectories, with most of the distance being carry.

With great swing speeds and on-center striking, pros still manage to launch the ball high, even with low lofted drivers. For most club players however, playing a higher lofted driver will boost accuracy and carry. The majority of club golfers would do best with drivers in the 11 14 degree loft range.

Playing the right driver shaft is crucial when it comes to long drives and consistent golf. The shaft has a vital part to play in all your clubs but the effects of playing the wrong shaft in your driver are magnified.

The majority of golfers play drivers with graphite shafts. Sadly, the majority of golfers also play shafts that are too stiff for their swing speeds. That might be the cause of the most common fault in golf, the slice. Play a shaft that is overly stiff and you’ll in all probability suffer from a slice.

This has a lot to do with the widespread fallacy that graphite shafts are too whippy. That might have been the case 10 years ago, but advanced graphite shaft construction has given us outstanding models with very even playing profiles.

A medium torque, light-weight driver shaft would give the best results for nearly all golfers. Using a light-weight shaft will amplify your swing speed and you’ll be able to load a medium torque shaft better during your swing, getting the club square back to the ball with the most energy. More energy, more yards.

The stiffness of the shaft’s tip will also influence the launch angles. Your launch angles will suffer if you use a shaft which is excessively tip-stiff. Launching the ball on the ideal angle is where a long golf drive comes from. Remember, we’re after piercing flights not low stingers.

Choosing the right combination of driver head and shaft characteristics is crucial to consistent driving and long golf drives. Your driver need to match your game, not fight against it.

We could all do with some extra yards and the easiest place to start is at our Clone Golf Clubs site.

Golf is one of them games which look very easy to play, but can in fact be quite difficult when you get down to it. The games principles are quite simple, basically hit the ball and try to pot it. But there are some physical aspects which can aid improve your game and that a lot of people miss and that is why they find it exceedingly hard to play golf.

Concentration

Golf heavily involves high levels of engrossment; you have to concentrate when you strike the ball and have to concentrate when you putt the ball, all of this concentration leads to a high level of self correction and if you do not have this discipline in place, then you are going to lose out when you are on the golf green.

Accuracy

As well as concentration you have to have an eye for accuracy, accuracy is something that somebody has naturally, without a calm hand and a good eye you are literally going to be unable to strike the ball to where it needs to go, while your opponent has the upper hand over you.

Temper

For a conclusion I would say that you need to have a good head on your shoulders, if you ever want to win a game of golf. If you have ever played the game, you will come to realize that you need to have a good temper. Throughout a game on a green you are going to at least mess up one shot, but if you have a bad temper you are going to keep on thinking and thinking about this one bad shot and then end up making yourself angry. Which will ultimately end up affecting your performance on your accuracy and concentration.

Once it comes to golf apparel, you really have numerous choices presented. What to wear isn’t constantly primary on the golfer’s mind, though choosing the proper golf apparel could generate a difference in playing properly then playing not then properly. It’s exact!

Various golf clubs have rules whilst to what golf apparel is acceptable on their classes. This normally means no tank tops or short shorts, altogether players should wear shirts with collars, furthermore no jeans are allowed. Extra courses are less restrictive in their clothing and you may select what you desire to wear while long after it is tasteful.

Commonly male golfers will wear khaki pants furthermore a collared polo shirt. In warm weather, fitted shorts are generally permitted whilst piece of the golf apparel. Most men will next opt for a hat to continue the sun out of their eyes.

Golf apparel for women, but, might run the gamut. Golf skirts are very trendy for female golfers because they are less restrictive, though others opt for shorts or loose pants. Polo shirts are with worn by women – selected sleeveless polos are then allowed on upscale courses. Women tend to opt for visors to stay the sun away although hats are another selection.

As choosing your golf apparel, you must conduct concern that the clothing is not too restrictive. You will choose plenty of room to move some because your golf swing depends on your body moving in a fluid, smooth motion. Near’s nothing worse than clothing that is too tight – really on the golf module.

After choosing pants or shorts, it’s convenient to have pockets. Numerous golfers desire to have pockets thus they may bring golf tees, divot fixers, ball markers, also even additional balls, although we don’t suggest the latter while it could throw off your swing quite a slice.

You will decide to choose clothes that are made of lightweight, breathable fabrics – especially if you golf primarily in cold weather. Many manufacturers of golf apparel know this also keep it mind during production, hence it shouldn’t be difficult to find clothing like this.

All golf courses, reputable ones anyway, have driving ranges. This has nothing to do plus the maneuverability of a golf cart,

yet the player practicing shots also getting loosened up for a rounded on the links.

The driving range is the greatest place to practice a recent shot or technique that the golfer has heard approximately however has not tried once

of still. It is never a finest thought for the golfer to attempt a different shot, or a different grip on the golf course. This is because a

muffed shot, furthermore those are undemanding to hit, can cause the golfer to lose faith in the stroke, the club or the grip he or she

was using. So, it is forever finest to work on the shot at the driving range before ever considering trying it on the

course.

Every golfer has his or her own means of getting ready to play when they go to the driving range. For various, the design it to conduct

the smaller clubs, such as the pitching wedge, hit a few balls to acquire loosened up, moreover hit including larger with larger clubs,

finishing up the workout with the woods. But, for others, he or she will initiate including the larger clubs, getting their stroke

down plus the driver next woods primary, furthermore working their means to the smaller clubs, such while the pitching furthermore sand wedge.

For others, however, they will conduct one several club to work on. This is usually done when a golfer is having problems

hitting this club regularly.

By using merely one club, the golfer has to converge on what they are doing plus it. Are they gripping the club in a comfortable

technique that will allow their wrists to be flexible on the follow during? Or, is their stance too closed or too open?

This may have an adverse concern on a shot, including a closed stance preventing the golfer since getting the gap he thinks

he or she should acquire plus this selected club. A stance too extensive open will concern the golferrquote s balance and, hence,

the accuracy of the shot. These are around of the items a golfer will work on at the driving range.

Nevertheless, and again, there is forever the new tip that is guaranteed to enhance both the length with the accuracy of the shot

(then thererquote s also oceanfront property in Oklahoma for those interested in making such a purchase). A lot of these

hence-called ldblquote guidelinesrdblquote are ways for personality else to generate cash since golfing resources or videos.

Still, there are selected orders that are legitimate next will help. Regardless, altogether commands should be tried out on the driving

range before any golfer ever thinks nearly stepping up to the tee on the original box.

Remember, however, the driving range is not for all terrain vehicles, four wheel drive pickups, monster trucks, or to ask

how sharp a golf cart might be turned. A driving range is a situation where golfers go to take ready for their exercise then prove new information.

Golf fitness coach. Have you ever considered one…and if so, what systematically were you looking for? There are many ‘frequent fitness’ trainers trying to purchase a piece of the golf fitness and training market that seems to be fast gaining exposure both on the television and inside print thanks to Tiger, Vijay and Annika.

But the first thing you need to consider when looking into hiring a golf fitness coach or program is the trainers experience inside golf.

Yes…that is high on the list of requirements. Does he/she know golf? Do they know the biomechanics of the golf swing? How about muscle function during the golf swing?

An simple test is during the initial interview or if you’re researching it online is to either ask very golf specific swing technique questions; or take a look at the information on the website. You’ll discover out real quick if this person or program can improve your golf swing, game and health.

A golf fitness coach or program ought to incorporate strength, flexibility, endurance, body awareness, balance, stability and even a nutrition component.

It’s easy for a trainer to have a strength component…but is it specific to golf? A quick test. Take a look at any of the exercises. Are some of them on seated machines for instance? If they are…run! This is NOT a golf fitness coach and/or program. This is considered ‘ordinary fitness’.

At this moment stretching. There are dozens of stretches for every public. But take a look at a few of them. Do they even remotely look like they will improvement your golf swing?

Stretches involving trunk flexibility; lower back; hamstring; and even shoulders specific to the mechanics of the swing are what you choose. Frequent stretches are greater than nothing, but will delay your results. You desire specific stretches.

Body awareness. Does a few of the exercises resemble golf positions or phases of the swing? Do they look like you would be on your feet and inside your golf posture? Because stated higher than, if they are seated on machines, your body will learn nothing in regards to your golf swing.

Training your body specific to golf incorporates positions almost identical to what your body would be in during any part of the golf swing.

Stability. Training your body to boost stability in your swing can pay for a little complex if you essentially select to see results. The swing happens at between 80-100 miles an hour. One of the biggest flaws of amateur golfers is moving inside their golf swing.

Moving either laterally (sliding), vertically (up and done) or both. This is death to your golf swing. To enhance your stability involves specific power drills most trainers don’t even know about.

I may go on-and-on about the requirements of a golf fitness coach or program. It is critical you make the right decision. I have heard horror stories of golfers working with ‘so-called’ golf fitness experts and their game getting worse. With the proper research this won’t happen to you. So definitely believe a golf fitness coach.

While many people think that golf isn’t really golfing unless you walk the course, the reality is that some people just can’t do that. This is where golfing carts turn out to be handy. This author personally won’t play golf very often without the benefit of a golfing cart, but that is’s just my preference I tend to be a little lazy. But with the new golf carts that are out today, they can make golfing a touch more delightful.

Besides not being made to haul your golfing bag around with you, the golfing cart can also help you to avoid fatigue and carry along a cooler of nibbles, soda, or lager together with you if that’s what you want to do when you golf. You may get a good rest on a hot day when you use a golfing cart to navigate the course.

There are essentially 3 large golf cart manufacturers that reign supreme over the golfing cart market : Yamaha, EZ Go. And Club Car.

Some golf carts are powered with little gas engines while others are electrically powered. The electric golf carts were the 1st mass-produced electric cars for non-public patron use. Modern golfing carts might have car-like styling despite being no bigger than a standard golf cart. Accessories such as audio entertainment systems, custom wheels, and custom body panels in a variety of colours are being offered as decisions for the private golfing cart.

Golf carts are not just used on the golf course. Some small communities or neighborhoods will employ a golfing cart where their absence of pollutants, shortage of noise, and safety for pedestrians and other cars are beneficial. While purpose-built for general transportation, these are called Neighborhood electrical cars and they have assorted operating restrictions like top speed and heavy regulation on street use. They do resemble normal golfing carts in style, but some are enclosed to accommodate to be used in all types of weather.

There is a huge market for aftermarket parts on golfing carts. Each major producing company has their own line of O.E.M parts to improve off-road capabilities. Because golfing carts can have a long life, people regularly buy used golfing carts making these OEM parts extremely valuable to people who have a need to fix damaged parts of their golfing cart.

golfing carts are considered by many golfers to be an essential part of the golfing game. Others just assume the golf cart make a golf course more dangerous. Either way, the truth is golfing carts can really aid in making the game more delightful by big jumps.
