Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders (2-3) vs. Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket (4-2)

Saturday, October 16th, 2010 3:30PM ET

Line: Georgia Tech -18.5

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are riding a two-game winning streak, defeating ACC rivals Wake Forest and Virginia. The team is ranked third in rushing yards, averaging 328 a game behind their senior brute, Joshua Nesbitt. Middle Tennessee only managed to run for 28 yards in their last game against Troy. Their running game has been weak all season.

Keys to the Game:

–          The Blue Raiders had two turnovers and only 207 total purpose yards in their loss last weekend. They seem to find their offense solely from the team’s quarterback, Dwight Dasher, who threw for 172 yards and rushed for 27 yards and two touchdowns.

–          The Yellow Jackets went back to their running game last weekend after having a game-winning pass against Wake Forest the week before. Last weekend, Nesbitt ran for 109 yards and a touchdown. The team’s running back, Anthony Allen helped him in the ground game, running for 195 yards and three touchdowns.

–          Georgia Tech has also been able to score the football this season, averaging 30.2 points per game this season. Their defense has also been solid. The team will be able to control the overall flow of this game at home and with a confident running squad.

Middle Tennessee has been slightly under average this season. They’ve been up and down all season, ranked 61st in passing and 55th in rushing. Georgia Tech has been surging after their loss to North Carolina State and will try to find their third straight win. The Yellow Jackets have had a hard time closing out teams so it shouldn’t be a huge victory.
