Arkansas State Red Wolves (2-4) vs. Indiana Hoosiers (3-2)

Saturday, October 16th, 2010 12:00PM ET

Line: Indiana -11.5

The solid group of Indiana is coming off a 38 to 10 loss to Ohio State last week, the team will be going back home to take on Arkansas State. The Hoosiers had no problem knocking down their first string of opponents in Towson, Western Kentucky and Akron. But their losses are against respectable teams. Arkansas State is coming off a win at North Texas last week, with their backfield doing a good job running the ball downfield.

Keys to the Game:

–          Arkansas State’s Ryan Aplin had a tremendous game last week; the quarterback threw for 169 yards and a touchdown, while running in two touchdowns of his own. The Sophomore has already passed for 1,574 yards and ten touchdowns this season.

–          The Indiana Hoosiers ran into some real competition last week against Ohio State. The team was held to 69 rushing yards and Hoosier quarterback, Ben Chappell was harassed all throughout the game. Chappell ended up throwing for only 106 yards and two interceptions.

–          Hoosiers’ receiver, Terrance Turner was held to only three catches for 37 yards last week in their loss. The senior has done a good job getting open, catching 27 balls this season for 283 yards, but has only caught one touchdown all season.

Arkansas State has suffered some critical losses this season to give them the advantage in this game. The Red Wolves are coming off that rare win against North Texas, but will have a hard time with a decent Hoosier team. Indiana has the weapons to dismantle Arkansas State’s defense, it’s up to them to execute while playing at home.
