Duke Blue Devils (1-5) vs. #25 Virginia Tech Hokies (5-2)

Saturday, October 23rd, 2010 12:00PM ET

Line: Virginia Tech -26

The Hokies have been looking good ever since their terrible 0-2 start to the season. Their current five-game winning streak spawns from the performances that Tyrod Taylor, Darren Evans, David Wilson and Jerrett Boykin have all had this season. The Duke Blue Devils are currently undergoing a five-game losing streak, losing to the Miami Hurricanes last week, 28-13.

Keys to the Game:

–          The Blue Devils stunned their home fans last weekend against Miami when the team committed seven total turnovers. The team’s sophomore quarterback, Sean Renfree threw a career-high 5 interceptions in the contest.

–          The running game has been there for Virginia Tech. The team’s scrambling quarterback, Tyrod Taylor leads the team with 480 rushing yards and three touchdowns. The team’s prime back, Darren Evans has run for 411 yards and eight touchdowns, while David Wilson has punched in 406 yards and three touchdowns.

–          Tyrod Taylor is coming off a big game over Wake Forest last weekend. Taylor had 292 yards and three touchdowns, while also running for 31 yards and one touchdown. So far he’s thrown for 1,322 yards for 12 touchdowns.

Virginia Tech shouldn’t have any problems in this ACC matchup against Duke. Duke hasn’t been able to limit their turnovers or show any signs of an established defense all season. The Hokies have some definite talent in their backfield and their receivers won’t have a hard time finding themselves open.
