Line: Florida State -4

The Seminoles have been riding a five-game winning streak that has landed him at the sixteen spot for this week. North Carolina State is coming off their second loss in three weeks, losing a tough one in overtime to East Carolina, 33-27. Both teams carry potent offenses with a variable amount of playmakers, making this meeting a close one.

Keys to the Game:

–          North Carolina State had a total of 476 yards on offense in their loss last week, but the defense gave up 496 yards, earning them their loss. NC State’s quarterback, Russell Wilson threw for 322 yards but had three interceptions along with his one touchdown pass. The Wolfpack will need to limit mistakes and play some defense to stand a chance against the Seminoles.

–          The Seminoles didn’t need a stellar performance from their junior running back, Jermaine Thomas. The running back only had five carries this time around, gaining a span of 44 yards. Christian Ponder helped the Seminoles  by throwing for two touchdowns, but had a season-high of three picks.

–          The Seminoles have rebounded well since their 47-17 loss to Oklahoma on their second week. The team is ranked 19th in the nation in rushing yards, averaging 211.7 rushing yards per game this season. The defense has also been a force to be reckoned; allowing only 16.1 points per game, their 13th in the nation.
