Georgia Bulldogs at Kentucky Wildcats

Saturday October 23, 2010 7:30 PM EST

Line: Georgia -4

Georgia comes into this SEC matchup with a 3-4 record while being 2-3 in the SEC. They are coming off two straight wins at home with a combined score of 84-14. They have had their struggles on the road though, they are 0-3 on the road. Kentucky surprisingly has a better record at 4-3 with a 1-3 SEC record. They got a huge win vs South Carolina last week 31-28. The Wildcats are 3-1 at home this season.

Georgia’s defense ranks 20th best allowing only 17.4 points a game. Their offense is averaging 29.7 points a game, 51st. The Bulldogs are averaging 150.4 yards a game on the ground, 64th overall. Their passing game is 41st in the nation with 244.9 yards a game. Freshman QB Aaron Murray has 1,653 yards with 12 TDs and 3 Ints.

Kentucky has struggled on defense allowing 29.9 points a game, 88th overall. Their offense is 21st with 35.3 points a game. They have been impressive rushing the ball with 158.7 yards a game, 51st overall. Their passing game has been even better with 270.6 yards a game, 25th best. Senior QB Mike Hartline has played some of his best football this year and has 1,791 yards 13 TDs and 3 Ints. The worry for Kentucky is the status of Senior RB Derrick Locke. Locke leads the WIldcats with 574 yards and 7 TDs. He is listed as questionable.

I really like what Kentucky has done this season. SEC matchups always serve as tough sports picks. Georgia is 0-3 on the road this season and the WIldcats are 3-1 at home. South Carolina was upset by Kentucky last week and Georgia is no South Carolina.
