Indiana Hoosiers (3-1) vs. #2 Ohio State Buckeyes (5-0)

Saturday, October 9, 2010 12:00PM EST

Line: Ohio State -22

Two talented groups face off in this Big Ten clash in Ohio Stadium this Saturday. The Indiana Hoosiers are coming off a tough loss to the steaming Michigan Wolverines last week. Indiana only lost by a touchdown run by none other than Heisman hopeful, Denard Robinson with 17 seconds left in regulation time. Despite the loss, the Hoosiers remain as one of the finest underrated teams in their conference, having three positive wins under their belt after four games. They will face the toughest competition of their season so far when they head over to play in Ohio. The powerhouse Buckeyes are eighth in the nation in scoring, averaging 44.2 points this season. They have dominating wins against teams such as Miami (FL), Illinois and have picked apart weak defenses. Their 73 to 20 win against Eastern Michigan best represents their ability to score whenever given the chance.

Keys to the Game:

–          As expected, Buckeyes’ quarterback, Terrelle Pryor dictated the outcome of Ohio State’s success in another game this season. This time around, Ohio State fans bit their nails as Pryor went down with a leg injury, putting the end result of this game up in the air against a hungry Illinois football team. Pryor ended up coming back, and went on to complete nine passes out of sixteen for two touchdowns and an interception. The Buckeyes’ running game and defense also contributed to the humble 24 to 13 win.

–          Indiana continues to fly under the wings of 6’3’’ senior, Ben Chappell. The quarterback a monstrous performance last week despite the loss to the Wolverines; 45-of-64, for 480 yards, three touchdowns and an interception. He’s found a comfort spot with Tandon Doss, who caught 15 balls for 221 yards. The tall 6’3’’ receiver only had 8 receptions heading into the game.

–          The Hoosiers suffer from a defense that might not be able to make the critical stops against Ohio State’s powerful offense. The Buckeyes have had no problem scoring the football the season and they don’t expect it to slow down at home this weekend.

Ohio State will try and build a gaping lead in this one to prove their dominance in the nation. After the scare last weekend in Illinois, they look to not let anything tarnish their current perfect record of 5-0. Indiana will make some big plays, avoiding a blowout and a huge negative hit on their season.
