Miami Hurricanes (6-3) vs. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (5-4)

Saturday, November 13th, 2010 12:00PM EST

Line: Miami -3

Georgia Tech recently lost their offensive star, Joshua Nesbitt in their last game for the season. The team ranks as the nation’s number one running team, but now will have to rely on the performance of sophomore quarterback, Tevin Washington. The Hurricanes are coming off a win over Maryland, the team was able to find their sixth win of the season when while playing at home.

Keys to the Game:

–          Miami’s defense is ranked 20th in the nation, giving up 19.1 points per game this season. The team’s running game is 37th in the nation, finding success behind their backs, Damien Berry, Lamar Miller and some great plays from Mike James.

–          Georgia Tech will need to rely heavily on their starting running back, Anthony Allen for this game. The senior back has rushed for 817 yards and five touchdowns this season. His role will increase now that the Yellow Jackets have lost their rushing threat, Joshua Nesbitt.

–          The Hurricanes have seen reliable play from their senior receiver, Leonard Hankerson. The 6’3’’ receiver caught four balls for 66 yards and a touchdown in his last game. He has a total of 48 receptions for 747 yards and 10 touchdowns this season.

The Hurricanes could become easily frustrated by Georgia Tech’s running game plan, but expect the Yellow Jackets to pass the ball a few more times in this game. The Hurricanes haven’t been able to stay solid throughout the whole season, but the team should be able to defeat the Yellow Jackets with their several weapons on offense.

Free Pick: Miami -3
