Michigan Wolverines (6-3) vs. Purdue Boilermakers (4-5)

Saturday, November 13th, 2010 12:00PM EST

Line: Michigan -13

Michigan snapped their three-game losing streak last weekend in a triple-overtime win against Illinois. The team saw great support from their two quarterbacks in Forcier and Robinson. The Boilermakers have lost their last three games and have struggled to pass the ball all season this year. They will look to utilize their running game while playing at home.

Keys to the Game:

–          Purdue’s running game is ranked 39th in the nation, averaging 173.2 rushing yards per game this season. They just can’t seem to score the ball and are 111th when it comes to scoring, averaging only 17.6 points per game this season.

–          Michigan’s Denard Robinson had a quiet game running the ball last weekend, rushing for only 62 yards. He was able to pass for 305 yards and three touchdowns in the teams win against Illinois, but also had two interceptions. The team continues to sub in Tate Forcier to help generate some offense.

–          Purdue likes to give the ball to their full back, Dan Dierking. The senior back had 16 carries for 55 yards in the team’s last game. Cortez Smith does most of the receiving for the team, leading the team with 28 receptions for 287 yards and two touchdowns.

Michigan should be able to slam Purdue after such a motivational win over Illinois last week. Purdue still has some weapons that could hurt Michigan’s 105th-ranked defense. The Wolverines should be able to overcome Purdue but the lead won’t be dominating.
