#23 Nevada Wolf Pack at Idaho Vandals
Saturday November 6, 2010 5:00 PM EST
Line: Nevada -11
Nevada last weekend pulled their starters a little too early and Utah State almost made a historic comeback. The final score was 56-42 and Utah State scored all 42 points in the second half. Idaho went into Hawaii last week and got spanked 45-10.
Stats to consider:
Nevada Wolf Pack:
- Nevada is 7-1 with a 2-1 WAC record.
- They are 2-1 on the road this season.
- Points against per game: 22.8 (51st)
- Points for per game: 41.9 (7th)
- Passing yards a game: 219.3 (58th)
- Rushing yards a game: 300.9 (5th)
Idaho Vandals:
- Idaho is 4-4 with a1-2 WAC record.
- They are 3-0 at home, but all three teams are very poor.
- Points against per game: 25.1 (63rd)
- Points for per game: 30.1 (48th)
- Passing yards a game: 338.3 (4th)
- Rushing yards a game: 85.1 (115th)
What to watch for:
- Don’t look for Nevada to let up in this game. They were up big at half and decided to pull some of their starters. Their AP rank took a huge hit as they made the game look a lot closer than what it should have been.
- Nevada Senior QB Colin Kaepernick has 1,670 yards with 12 TDs and 5 Ints. He has been even more impressive rushing the football with 771 yards and 13 TDs. He has also been helped a bunch by Senior RB Vai Taua who has 928 yards and 11 TDs. Taua missed last week with an ankle injury but should be a go in this one.
- Idaho Senior QB Nathan Enderle has 2,282 yards 16 TDs and 12 Ints this season. Last week was the first week all season Enderle didn’t have a passing TD.
I wish all football picks were like this one. Nevada is clearly the better team and is only giving up 11 points. Last week was a fluke for the Wolf Pack and they will not make that same mistake this season. Idaho’s loss last week was not a fluke, and they should be torched all day by Nevada QB Colin Kaepernick.
