The Florida State Seminoles come in as favorites in this meeting against the Tar Heels. The Seminoles suffered their second loss of the season last week against North Carolina State, they had two turnovers and 10 penalties in the game. The Tar Heels barely escaped with a win last week against William & Mary, a AA-Division team. The team has relied on their running back, Johnny Whiten for their success.

Keys to the Game:

–          North Carolina’s senior running back, Johnny White was able to rush for 164 yards and  a touchdown in the team’s win last week. He’s been able to run the ball consistently for the Tar Heels, and will have a chance to shine his game in this nationally-televised matchup. He’s rushed for 713 yards and six touchdowns this season.

–         Florida State has a three-headed monster in their backfield running game. Chris Thompson, Jermaine Thomas and Ty Jones have all ran for a combined total of 1,375 rushing yards this season. Their running game has been the team’s main source of success, scoring a total of 12 touchdowns this season.

–         The Tar Heels have a powerful core when it comes to airing it out. Dwight Jones has been able to catch 32 balls for 483 yards and three touchdowns this season. Zack Pianalto has also had his share of catches, with 30 receptions for 311 yards and a touchdown.
