North Carolina State Wolfpack (6-2) vs. Clemson Tigers (4-4)

Saturday, November 6th, 2010 12:00PM EST

Line: Clemson -3.5

Overview:

North Carolina State managed to hit the top 25 by edging out Florida State last weekend, 28-24. The team currently stands as the 15th best passing squad in the nation, averaging 295.8 passing yards per game this season. Clemson has looked solid all season, they suffered their fourth loss to Boston College last weekend, 16-10.

Keys to the Game:

–          Clemson had one of their worst performances of the season last weekend. The team had three turnovers against Boston College. They couldn’t find their running game behind Ellington and quarterback, Kyle Parker threw two interceptions.

–         North Carolina State’s Russell Wilson is great when hitting the open field. The quarterback has passed for 2,302 yards and 19 touchdowns this season. But last weekend, he was able to run for 69 yards and three touchdowns.

–        Clemson has one of the toughest defenses in the nation, they should be able to slow down N.C. State throughout the game. But they will need to find more production from their running back, Andre Ellington. Ellington has rushed for 684 yards and ten touchdowns this season.

Clemson should be able to score and hold a decent lead while being at home. The team will have to have to slow down Wolfpack’s quarterback, Wilson. Look for North Carolina State to surprise the Tigers at home in this one.
