Ohio Bobcats (4-3) vs. Miami RedHawks(OH) (4-3)

Saturday, October 23rd, 2010 1:00PM ET

Line: Ohio -3

Both teams are coming off wins heading into this MAC-conference matchup, but the Ohio Bobcats have won their last three games. Boo Jackson, the Bobcats’ quarterback, ran in for two touchdowns and threw for another in his last game against Akron. Zac Dysert has also been doing good as of late, the RedHawks’ quarterback threw for 399 yards and three touchdowns last game. Miami’s passing game is ranked 31st in the nation, averaging 252.7 passing yards per game this season.

Keys to the Game:

–          The Miami RedHawks had nine penalties for 79 yards in their last game against Central Michigan. The team will need to limit these faults, while also trying to find some sort of a running attack. The team only had 71 total rushing yards last week.

–          Boo Jackson has been the focal point of this team’s recent success in winning their last three. The senior quarterback has passed for a total of 913 yards and nine touchdowns this season. While he hasn’t been throwing as much as he has in his freshmen year, Jackson has found a favorable target in Terrence McCrae.

–          The Miami RedHawks have a weak running game that only averages 69.7 rushing yards per game. The team also hasn’t been able to put up numbers on the board, averaging 20.1 points per game, they’re ranked 101st in the nation when it comes to scoring.

The Bobcats hold the upper hand in this meeting despite Miami’s home field advantage. They have more of a complete running game behind Jackson and Davidson. Miami should have trouble stopping the run, they will need to resort to the play of their sophomore quarterback, Zac Dysert.
