Line: Pitt -3.5

Pittsburgh ended their season with a win at Cincinnati 28-10. They were less than impressive in a very weak conference and got blown out in the one game vs a ranked opponent. They lost 31-3 vs #19 Miami in the early part of the season. Kentucky struggled in the toughest conference in football, the SEC. They played a total of 4 ranked teams, and went 1-3. 2 of the 3 loses were by 7 points or less. They nearly upset Auburn mid season 37-34.

Stats to consider:

  • Pitt Sophomore RB Dion Lewis has rushed for 956 yards and 12 TDs. He has 216 receiving yards also.
  • Kentucky Senior QB Mike Hartline has thrown for 3,178 yards 23 TDs and 9 Ints. Junior WR Randall Cobb has 955 yards and 7 TDs.
  • Wildcats Senior RB Derrick Locke has rushed for 816 yards and 10 TDs.

This football pick revolves around conferences in this one. The SEC is by far more tough than the Big East. Kentucky struggled against the SEC, in part due to the fact that they had 4 ranked teams to play in SEC play. Pitt didn’t play a ranked Big East opponent. The one ranked team they did play was Miami, and Miami finished very poorly.
