Purdue Boilermakers (4-6) vs. Michigan State Spartans (9-1)

Saturday, November 20th, 2010 12:00PM EST

Line: Michigan State -20

Michigan State were able to bounce back from their first loss of the season last weekend; the team defeated Minnesota 31-8. The Purdue Boilermakers are currently on a four-game losing streak and couldn’t handle Michigan’s offense in their loss last week.

Keys to the Game:

–          Michigan State will be able to dominate the Purdue defense with their running backs, Edwin Baker and Le’Veon Bell. Both backs have helped the Spartans average a total of 176.8 rushing yards per game this season.

–         The Boilermakers don’t pass the ball, averaging only 136.8 passing yards this season. They should continue relying on their efficient running game that’s ranked 40th in the nation this season, averaging 168.3 rushing yards this season.

–         Spartan’s quarterback, Kirk Cousins has passed for 2,277 yards and 15 touchdowns this season. The junior didn’t have a touchdown pass for the first time all season, but expect him to have more than one touchdown pass against the Boilermakers this weekend.

Michigan State’s offense poses a huge threat against Purdue’s questionable defense. The Boilermakers have allowed an average of 27.6 points this season, the team ranks 70th in the nation. Look for the Spartans to explode on offense this weekend against Purdue.
