Purdue Boilermakers (4-2) vs. #10 Ohio State Buckeyes (6-1)

Saturday, October 23rd, 2010 12:00PM ET

Line: Ohio State -23.5

Ohio State met their match against Wisconsin, losing 18 to 31. The Buckeyes put up a good fight and didn’t show any signs of weakness until they couldn’t stop Wisconsin’s running game late in the game. The team was ranked number one before the loss, but now they’re looking to rebound against Purdue in Ohio Stadium. Purdue is currently riding a two-game winning streak, behind Rob Henry and the team’s running game.

Keys to the Game:

–          The Boilermakers’ quarterback, Rob Henry has thrived after receiving notable playing time. Two weeks ago against Northwestern, he ran for 132 yards and a touchdown. Last week, he threw for 163 yards, a touchdown and an interception, while running in another three touchdowns on the ground. The team has also seen help from their running back, Dan Dierking, who ran for 126 yards last week.

–          The Buckeyes are averaging 39.6 points this season; the team has the 24th ranked running game and 52nd ranked passing game. The team’s leader at quarterback, Terrelle Pryor struggled for once, throwing for one interception and no touchdowns.

–          Purdue’s passing game isn’t stellar, but their running game has benefitted from Henry. The team is averaging 202.3 rushing yards per game, 27th in the nation. Dan Dierking also looks like he’s finding his form.
