Line: South Florida -10

Both teams are coming off bye weeks heading into this matchup. South Florida’s last game was a 38-30 win over Cincinnati. USF’s quarterback, B.J. Daniels exploded in that win, scoring two touchdowns on the ground and two passing touchdowns. Rutgers’ last game was a 20-point loss to Pittsburgh. The team’s playmaker, Mohamed Sanu was shut down in the loss, catching only four balls for 46 yards.

Keys to the Game:

–          South Florida remains 67th in the nation in rushing yards, averaging 148.3 yards a game. Their offense only averages 175.4 yards passing, so the team often looks to their two running backs in Moise Plancher and Demetris Murray. Both backs have combined for over 500 yards and six touchdowns.

–         Rutgers’ quarterback, Chas Dodd looked terrible in the team’s last game against Pittsburgh. Dodd went 8/19 for 62 yards, while also throwing two interceptions in the game. The team will need to continue looking for Mohamed Sanu and Joe Martinek to be able to find any success against South Florida.

–         Most of South Florida’s offense is a group of role players around B.J Daniels. Mostly because of Daniels, the team was able to put up a total of 378 total yards on offense against Pittsburgh. They have also done a good job limiting turnovers this season.
