Line: Clemson -5

In this great ACC matchup, both teams are coming off wins in their last games. Georgia Tech is currently riding a three-game winning streak behind the play of their star quarterback, Joshua Nesbitt. Last week the Yellow Jackets were able to rip open Middle Tennessee, with the team rushing for a total of 329 yards. Clemson snapped their 3-game losing streak last week by defeating Maryland, 31-7.

Keys to the Game:

–          Clemson’s defense has been decent this year; their respective losses came from Miami, Auburn and North Carolina. The Tigers are allowing opponents to average 19.3 points against their defense this year. Their defense was well portrayed in their win against Maryland last week, with the team forcing three turnovers.

–          Joshua Nesbitt continues to limit his passing for the Yellow Jackets, throwing the ball for a total of 19 times in the last two weeks. The senior quarterback was able to scramble for 106 yards and score a touchdown last week’s win against Middle Tennessee.

–          The Clemson defense has been stable this year; running back Andre Ellington leads the team’s offense with 82 carries for 476 yards and eight touchdowns this season. The team’s leading receiver has been Dwayne Allen. The sophomore has caught 19 balls for 259 yards and a touchdown this season.

It’s a legit question whether Clemson will be able to slow down Georgia Tech’s running game. The Yellow Jackets possess the second best running game in the nation, averaging a total of 382.1 yards per game this season. Clemson will be at home for this one, where they are 3-1 this season. The Tigers will most likely stun the Yellow Jackets with some big plays in this one.
