Idaho Vandals (2-2) vs. Western Michigan Broncos (1-2)

Saturday, October 2nd, 2:00 PM EST

Line: Idaho -2 1/2

Nathan Enderle and the Idaho Vandals head into this matchup against the struggling Western Michigan Broncos. Idaho is ranked 15th in the nation in passing yards per game, averaging a staggering 299.3 yards per game. The Vandals are able to score the ball too, averaging 31.5 points a game.  Western Michigan is coming off a 36-24 loss to Colorado State, and they’re looking to rebound with a strong inner-conference win.

Keys to the Games

* Enderle his having a strong senior season for his historical school, passing for 1,031 yards and seven touchdowns this year. He’s had his struggles against the stronger competition; throwing a disgusting five interceptions against Nebraska on September 11th, look for Western Michigan to expose the quarterback once again by following Nebraska’s strategy on defense.

* Daniel Hardy is one of the team’s most reliable receivers. The senior has 13 receptions for 244 yards this season, but only has one touchdown. He should expect to find the ball coming more towards his way this weekend when facing a poor defensive group that allowed 29.7 points in their first three games.

* Western Michigan will look to rely on their young gun slinger in Alex Carder. The 6’2’’ sophomore has passed for 921 yards and eight touchdowns this season. Carder threw for 403 yards in the team’s last game against Toledo. He went 43/64 for one touchdown and four interceptions in the loss.

Expect the Idaho Vandals to prevent themselves from falling down to a 2-3 record. Instead, Enderle will look to his decent running backs in McCarty and Jackson; both backs have a combined four touchdowns and 309 rushing yards this season. The Vandals will be able to win this one by much more than a field goal in this shootout.
