Kent State Golden Flashes (1-2) vs. Miami (OH) Redhawks (2-2)

Saturday, October 2nd, 1:00 PM EST

Line: Kent State -3

Kent State heads into this MAC conference match up against Miami (OH) RedHawks, after suffering a shutout loss two weeks ago. The Golden Flashes had a nice bye week to recuperate and try and get back to .500. The RedHawks will look towards their talented receiver Armand Robinson, who has an impressive 32 receptions this year for 382 yards and two touchdowns.

Keys to the Games

* The RedHawk’s 6’1’’ senior receiver, Robinson, leads the team with his ability to find the open spots across the field. He’s caught two touchdown passes and is having his best year for the team. Look for the team’s quarterback, Zac Dysert to frequently look for his prime target throughout this game.

* Kent State’s poor performance against PSU two weeks ago let the team go into their bye week on a sour note. They were 4-14 on third down conversions and only rushed for 58 yards. They have a solid quarterback in Spencer Keith, who’s thrown for 646 yards and four touchdowns this season. Keith relies heavily on the team’s leading receiver Sam Kirkland, who has 16 receptions for 187 yards this season.

* Kent State stand as small favorites behind their mediocre passing game and their decent receiving group. They currently are 65th in the nation in average passing yards, with 215.3 so far this season.

Expect this unpopular game to include its number of turnovers and lead changes. The Miami (Ohio) RedHawks are looking to rebound from their 51-13 loss to Missouri last week, and should be able to hit Kent State in the mouth, as the Golden Flashes will be coming for their bye week.
