New York Knicks (16-11) vs. Cleveland Cavaliers (7-19)

Saturday, December 18th, 2010 7:30PM EST

Line: New York -4.5

Overview:

  • The Knicks were exposed by LeBron and the Miami Heat last night, as the team has dropped their last two games against eastern title contenders. New York’s offense is ranked 2nd in scoring this season.
  • Raymond Felton has made some key plays for the Knicks offense this season. The five-year-vet  is averaging 18.7 points and 8.9 assists per game. He had 26 points and 14 assists in the team’s loss to Boston on Thursday.
  • The Cavs have been lifeless as of late, losing their last nine games heading into this one. They suffered their second loss to LeBron and the Miami Heat in their matchup on Wednesday before losing last night to Indiana.
  • Cleveland is ranked 25th in the league in rebounding, and 26th in scoring. The team has seen sluggish performances from most of their starters. Daniel Gibson logged in more than 35 minutes and scored a mere four points, while Mo Williams committed five turnovers in their last game.

Game Forecast:

The Knicks should be able to rebound from their tough week. New York has been tested by the elites in their division and should be able to have a better effort heading into Cleveland. Danilo Gallinari and Amare Stoudemire had a combined 49 points in the team’s last game.
