Houston Rockets (1-5) v. Washington Wizards (1-4)

Wednesday, November 10th, 2010 7:00PM EST

Line: Houston -4

Overview:

The Wizards have only been able to win one game this season, they recently had Gilbert Arenas come off the injury list, but the team has yet to find any success. The Rockets have also seen their share of struggles this season, only winning one game thus far. They should be able to find their second win of the season when heading into Washington.

Keys to the Game:

–          Luis Scola has been Houston’s leading man when it comes to efficiency. The 30-year-old is averaging 22.5 points and 12.3 rebounds per game this season. He’s been a great option for the team’s success when Yao Ming is sitting out.

–          Rookie, John Wall has been great for the Wizards this season. But the team has a hard time finding any offensive flow when the rookie is averaging 5.8 turnovers per game this season. Gilbert Arenas will look to play a bigger role on the team’s offense in this game, he’s only been averaging 26 minutes a game this season.

–          Kevin Martin has done well, despite Houston’s tough outings. Martin is leading the team in scoring with 23 points per game this season. He’s also been able to shoot 43% from the arc this season. Aaron Brooks has also done a fine job sharing the ball for the team, averaging 5.4 assists per game.

Game Forecast:

The Rockets have continued to become more conservative in utilizing Yao Ming’s playing time, this in turn has hurt the team in some ways. Houston will continue to ride behind Martin, Scola and Brooks when it comes to scoring the ball. The Wizards will find their fifth loss of the season at home against a frustrated Rockets team.
