Indiana Pacers (2-1) v. Philadelphia 76ers (0-4)

Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010 7:00PM EST

Line: Indiana -2

Philadelphia remains winless heading into this matchup, while the Pacers have looked pretty good as of late. Danny Granger has been crucial for Indiana, averaging 27 points, 4.3 rebounds and two assists per game thus far. The Sixers have been suffering from inconsistent scoring and poor defense after the second half of each game. Their last loss was a tough one to swallow for the team, especially after having a 14-point lead in the first quarter.

Keys to the Game:

–          Lou Williams continues to become one of the bright spots for this young team. The sixth man has been able to average 19.8 points off the bench this season. Elton Brand has also been able to avoid disappointment this season, the 31-year-old is currently averaging 16.3 points, 9 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game within his first four contests this season.

–          These two teams faced off not too long ago on October 30th, the Pacers won the first meeting, 86-99. In their previous encounter, both teams struggled with avoiding turnovers and holding a consistent lead. The Pacers stepped up their defense in this one, keeping the Sixers to a total of 35 points in the second half.

–          Look for the Pacers to continue feeding the ball down low to their 7’2’’ center, Roy Hibbert. The two-year pro has blossomed so far this season, averaging 18.3 points, 10 rebounds and 2.7 boards per game this season.

Game Forecast:

The Sixers will have the benefit of returning back home to Philly after their tough loss in Washington. Expect these two teams to put up a back-and-forth momentum throughout the game. They have both struggled on defense so far in this early season. Head coach Doug Collins and the Sixers will be doing everything to avoid their fifth-straight loss of their winless season, especially in front of their home crowd.
