Phoenix Suns (6-4) vs. Miami Heat (6-4)

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010 7:00PM EST

Line: Miami -8.5

Overview:

Miami’s recent struggles shouldn’t come as a complete shock. The team’s only credible win this season was their, 96-70 victory in Orlando. The Heat have lacked having a center down low and it’s starting to become evident. Their last game was a win at Toronto, Wade scored 31 while LeBron dished out 11 assists. Phoenix is currently riding a three-game winning streak, their last game was a six-point win over Denver.

Keys to the Game:

–          Neither of these teams can reliably rebound the ball, expect this contest to include plenty of fast-paced offense and a long highlight reel.  Phoenix is third in the league in scoring, averaging 108.2 points per game this season.

–          LeBron James has continued his wide-eyed play this season, the 25-year-old is averaging a team-high, 8.9 assists per game this season. He recently became one of the first superstars in the history of the NBA to complain about getting too many minutes. In his last game against the Raptors, James’ minutes were toned-down to 39 and he was able to score 23 points.

–          The Suns’ last two games were wins against the Lakers and the Nuggets. The team is among the league’s worst when it comes to making defensive stops, giving up an average of 106.6 points per game this season.

Game Forecast:

The large spreads for the Miami Heat have become more risky, as the team hasn’t been able to dominate their opponents this season. Miami has had several close games this season, so it’s hard to see them end the night with a huge lead over the Suns. The Heat should be able to score their seventh win of the season in this matchup, but it won’t be a breeze.
