Portland Trail Blazers (3-0) at Chicago Bulls (1-1)

Monday, November 1st, 2010 8:00PM EST

Line: Chicago -1.5

Overview:

The Blazers have been promising so far in this young season. They’ve found the ability to trust and share the ball well with each other, while currently standing as the third best rebounding team in the league with 46.7 boards a game. The Chicago Bulls are just as talented around the glass, their currently second in the league in rebounding, behind the efficient Joakim Noah, who had 17 boards and 15 points in his last game.

Keys to the Game:

–          Brandon Roy is coming off a 29-point game in his team’s victory over the revamped Knicks, he’s averaging 25 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists in his first three games. Andre Miller has been able to play the defense (2.3 spg.), while creating for his offense with his 8.7 assists per game.

–          Derrick Rose continues his prolific scoring this season, in the team’s last game against the Pistons, Rose was able to put up 39 points and seven dimes.

–          While the Blazers have lost two of their gigantic centers in Joel Przybilla and Greg Oden, the team has had amazing support from their other big men in Lamarcus Aldridge and Marcus Camby. Aldridge was able to score 20 points and nab 10 rebounds against New York.

Game Forecast:

Chicago has the slight advantage in this meeting because of their deeper front court and they’ll be at home. Jalen Rose has seen support from his role players in Kyle Korver, Joakim Noah and Loul Deng. We have yet to see what kind of force this team will be once Boozer suits up, but they’ll miss him in his rough matchup.
