Toronto Raptors (1-1) v. Sacramento Kings (2-1)

Monday, November 1st, 2010 10:00PM EST

Line: Sacramento -4

Overview:

The Raptors have seen been able to rebound and play some solid defense despite the loss of Chris Bosh over the summer. Toronto is currently sixth in the league in rebounding (45.5), and third in points allowed (89.5). The Kings have been able to defeat weaker teams in Minnesota and Cleveland by a combined of total of four points, but suffered their first loss to New Jersey.

Keys to the Game:

–          The Raptors have found success in their back court with the sensational spread passing led by their point guard, Jose Calderon. Calderon is currently averaging 7 assists per game this season. Another guard that’s having success is Jarrett Jack, who’s overachieving on defense, averaging 2.5 steals per gam.e

–          Sacramento holds on to the success of their young players in Tyreke Evans and DeMarcus Cousins. Evans is averaging 19.5 points and 6.5 assists per game this season. While the rookie, Cousins is averaging 13.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game to kick off his season.

–          While the Blazers have lost two of their gigantic centers in Joel Przybilla and Greg Oden, the team has had amazing support from their other big men in Lamarcus Aldridge and Marcus Camby. Aldridge was able to score 20 points and nab 10 rebounds against New York.

Game Forecast:

Way too much of a spread for Sacramento; their wins aren’t strongly credible ones to this point. Though the team has showed they can spurn some strong scoring runs, they will have problems with Toronto. The Raptors are awaiting the debut of Barbosa for their ambitious season, they should be able to find success behind their long-distance shooting in this meeting.
