They ended their stretch with 3 straight wins over Oklahoma City, New Orleans, and at Utah.

What to watch for:

  • The Celtics had 4 all-stars compared to 0 for the Warriors. Celtics PF Paul Pierce leads the team with 18.8 PPG and has 5 RPG and 3.2 APG. SG Ray Allen is 2nd on the team with 17.3 PPG. PF Kevin Garnett is 3rd with 14.9 PPG and leads the team with 9 RPG. PG Rajon Rondo comes in at 5th with 10.9 PPG and leads everyone in the NBA with 12.2 APG.
  • While the Warriors had no all-stars, they did have players in the all-star festivities. PG Stephen Curry walked away as the winner of the skills competition. He is 2nd on the team with 18.4 PPG and leads the team with 6 RPG. SF Dorell Wright participated in the 3 point shootout, but failed to win it all. Wright is 3rd with 16.5 PPG and is 3rd with 5.7 RPG.

This basketball pick is tough due to the fact that these two teams are near opposites. Boston is the best defensive team in the NBA, while the Warriors struggle playing defense at times. The Warriors can score points with ease, while the Celtics can’t seem to make a basket at times. This game will come down to who wins the rebounding battle. The key lies within Warriors C Adris Biedrins who has really played better lately and is 2nd on the team with 8.2 RPG. Bench play will also play a large factor as the Warriors have struggled off the bench at times.
