Cleveland Cavaliers at Indiana Pacers

Tuesday November 23, 2010 7:00 PM EST

Line: Indian -4

Indiana is coming off a huge win at Miami last night lead by SF Danny Granger who had 20 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Cleveland got thumped 116-92 at San Antonio, as the Spurs are playing at a very high level this season. The return of PG Mo Williams should help this Cavs team. He lead the team with 21 points and 6 assists Saturday.

Stats to consider:

Cleveland Cavaliers:

  • The Cavs are 5-7 with a 3-3 road record.
  • Points allowed per game: 101.3 (19th)
  • Points scored per game: 96.4 (24th)
  • Rebounds a game: 40.1 (24th)
  • Assists per game: 20.4 (19th)

Indiana Pacers:

  • The Pacers are 6-6 with a 3-4 home record.
  • Points allowed per game: 96.1 (8th)
  • Points scored per game: 99.8 (16th)
  • Rebounds per game: 43.9 (5th)
  • Assists per game: 21.3 (14th)

What to watch for:

  • Cleveland has struggled scoring this year. The return of PG Mo Williams help a lot as he leads the team with 14.6 PPG. He also leads the team with 4.4 APG. With Mo back, PG Daniel Gibson will see his minutes cut as he has played well with 14.1 PPG (2nd best).
  • The Cavs have struggled rebounding the ball. PF Anderson Varejao leads the team with 9.3 RPG. His scoring has been down as he has only posted 9.4 PPG. Both PF J.J. Hickson and PF Antawn Jamison both have added in 5.5 RPG.
  • Pacer SF Danny Granger is averaging 21.2 PPG with 5.4 RPG and 3.2 APG. He finally has some decent pieces around him. C Roy Hibbert has averaged 16.1 PPG with 9.6 RPG and 2.4 BPG.
  • PG Darren Collison has done well since coming from New Orleans to Indiana. He has averaged 13.9 PPG with 4 APG and 1.33 SPG.

Sports picks revolve around the more complete team. Indiana has a young team and can only continue to get better. SF Danny Granger is the leader of this team and finally has some help. C Roy Hibbert has been dominant down low while PG Darren Collison is showing why the team went out and got him. Cleveland has played well this season and Mo Williams being back should help a bunch, but on the road they should struggle. Indiana should come out confident after a big win in Miami.
