Phoenix Suns at Orlando Magic

Thursday November 18, 2010 8:00 PM EST

Line: Orlando -10

The Suns are fresh off a 123-96 thumping in Miami just last night. It did not look good and it is not an easy task to then go into Orlando and try to compete with a very good Orlando team. Chris Bosh scored 35 points last night for the Heat, so Dwight Howard should be in line for an easy double-double tonight.

Stats to consider:

Phoenix Suns:

  • The Suns are 6-5 with a 3-3 road record.
  • Points allowed a game: 108.1 (29th)
  • Points for a game: 107.1 (3rd)
  • Rebounds per game: 39.7 (25th)
  • Assists per game: 21.5 (14th)

Orlando Magic:

  • Orlando is 7-3 with a 4-2 home record.
  • Points allowed a game: 90.8 (1st)
  • Points scored a game: 97.9 (22nd)
  • Rebounds per game: 44.4 (3rd)
  • Assists per game: 18.2 (28th)

What to watch for:

  • Suns PG Steve Nash continues to do his thing. He is averaging 19.3 PPG with 8.9 APG. Leading the Suns in scoring is SG Jason Richardson with 20.3 PPG and a team best 1.3 SPG. They do lack in size as no one is averaging more than 6 RPG
  • The Magic will focus on getting C Dwight Howard the ball early and often. Howard leads the team wit 21.2 PPG 10.9 RPG and 2.8 BPG.

Sports picks are made easy by bad road teams. The Suns may not be a bad road team, but traveling to the east coast is never easy in any sport. I can easily see Dwight Howard posting 30 points 15 rebounds and 4 blocks tonight. This Magic team is very talented and you could even see Brandon Bass get extra minutes, due to the lack of size of the Suns.
