Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots

Sunday September 26, 2010 1 PM EST

Line: Patriots -15

A line that is 15 points is uncommon in the NFL. If it were any matchup but the Bills Vs the Patriots, I probably would go with the underdog no questions asked. The fact of the matter is that the Patriots are frustrated, and the Bills are the perfect victim.

The Patriots had a disappointing performance against a Jets team they hate, and they are looking to destroy someone. Bill Belechick has never shied away from putting it on someone when they can. Last year, it wasn’t until Tom Brady had thrown six touchdowns and were beating the Titans 52-0 that they yanked him. They went on to win 59-0. The Bills should prepare for the worst.

Nobody likes to be embarrassed. Randy “The Slouch” Moss, a nickname bestowed upon him courtesy of Darrelle Revis, felt he had something to prove against the best corner in the league. One of the bright points of the game was his one handed grab in one on one coverage with Revis. Revis tweaked his hamstring on the play, but the message was sent loud and clear. Randy Moss is no slouch.

The Patriots are starting to utilize Aaron Hernandez. He gained 101 yards on six catches. Tom Brady has no shortage of weapons, but a solid tight end will only help his already impressive repertoire of receivers. Another target was not on the top of the priority list for the Pats, but they welcome him with open arms.

The Bills are the perfect team to beat down. Aside from Jairus Byrd, they lack talent in the secondary. Although the Patriots aren’t generally a run first football team, they should not struggle when they decide to go to the ground. First round play maker C.J. Spiller was the favorite by many to become rookie of the year. While Jahvid Best is the shining star on a struggling team, C.J. Spiller is struggling with his team. Spiller has a pathetic nine yards on eight attempts and is a non factor in the offense. They put up seven and ten points in their first two games of the season. I expect them to score 10 or 13 against the Patriots. The Patriots might cover the 42 1/2 point over by themselves. To add insult to injury, they are in Foxboro. I would hate to be part of the Bills organization on Sunday.
