Worldwide, soccer may be the most popular team sport. Although it has been eclipsed by football in the United States, it is gaining popularity. The physicality of the game is excellent aerobic exercise for children, while the game is a non contact sport with minimal chances for injury.
The children also learn to participate as a team if having a small game of soccer at home just to occupy them just before suppertime, just something to keep them out from under your feet and help tire them out. The portable soccer goal net can at least be taken down and put away if necessary or be carted with if you go away, but still wish to keep the little ones busy too.
The aerobic benefits to children cannot be overstated, and they can still have fun. You can organize soccer games among neighborhood children in your own backyard. Soccer goal nets can be purchased at any sports stores and at some department stores and toy stores.

Remember though, that soccer is a game and is intended to be fun. Don’t force a reluctant child to play. The best way to encourage your child to participate is to get involved yourself. Don’t stand on the sidelines and let the kids have all the fun, score a soccer goal or two yourself. Children love activities that their parents are actively involved in. A practice area can be set up in even a small backyard.
Play with your child and encourage other neighborhood children to participate. Parental involvement in the actual playing of the game, will make the activity more enjoyable and significant for your child. As with any sports equipment, your soccer goal net may need some special care. In areas where winter weather is inclement, you may wish to store the net in a garage or storage building. Consider purchasing a net which folds up for easy storage.
