Tough And Easy Through All Tracks

A motorcycle is a powered two wheel motor vehicle. Motorcycle falls under three categories namely street, off-road and dual purpose. Street bikes are those that are designed for transportation and include sport bikes, scooters, cruisers and mopeds. The off-road motorcycles are those specially made for racing such as dirt-oriented racing. These are not legally permitted for use as vehicle for transportation in most places. The dual purpose motorcycles are those that are permitted and used both for transportation and racing.

Scooters are smaller in size as compared to the street bikes. They are designed for relatively smooth and even terrain. But scooters have undergone substantial modifications and redesigning. There are now tougher scooters, some of them with engine displacement of more than 250cc. There is the motor-scooter as well as the maxi-scooter now on the roads. The newer scooters are redesigned to take on touch road and driving conditions unlike the earlier models.

Motorcycles and scooters have become attractive as means of transport for a number of reasons. They are more fuel efficient than other vehicles. This makes it more attractive when fuel prices are increasing and is expected to steadily become more costly. The fuel economy of motorcycles also comes from its lower mass. A variety of modifications are made in scooters to increase its power and capability to navigate over rough terrains. Kent Super Scooter is built almost as a bike. It is made from solid steel.

Most cities face almost an impossible task of keeping pace with the increase in traffic. Traffic jams and traffic congestion have become the normal part of city life. It takes a lot of courage and skill to maneuver through the traffic and finally reach where you wanted to reach. Motorcycles occupy lesser space on the roads and in the parking lots. There is a dearth of parking space. Parking lots are almost always overcrowded. Parking fees are steadily increased. As compared to other motor vehicles, motorcycles are charged lesser for parking. Congestion charges are charged from vehicles to enter certain areas. Motorcycles are however exempted from these charges. Toll gates frequent the highways charging all vehicles intending to drive on. The toll charges for motorcycles are the least amongst all vehicles. Similar is the situation in river crossings. Motorcyclists have to pay a lower road and motor vehicle tax than other vehicles.
